First Annual Diet Pepsi - Got to Be NC Ag Jam Presented by Food Lion Set for Saturday, September 13, 2008

RALEIGH – An all day, family friendly food and music festival celebrating North Carolina agriculture will take place Saturday, September 13 at Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion at Walnut Creek in Raleigh, NC.

The Diet-Pepsi Got to Be NC Ag Jam will feature samples of delicious local North Carolina fruits, vegetables, beverages and other products from North Carolina growers and producers. While sampling the goodness that grows in North Carolina, visitors can also enjoy seven of the newest and hottest country music performances by artists such as Blake Shelton, Tracy Byrd, Jake Owen, Eric Church, Heartland, and more.

Festival hours will be noon-11 p.m., with gates opening at 11 a.m. Tickets will be $15 for lawn seating, $20 for reserved seating, and $25 for Gold Circle seating. Tickets go on sale Saturday, July 26 and will be available through all Ticketmaster outlets and online at ticketmaster.com. Beginning mid-July, listen to WQDR, WPAW, and Thunder Country for your chance to win tickets during promotional ticket stops at participating Food Lion stores.

“We’re excited to show off agriculture in North Carolina with N.C. food companies and commodities sampling and offering delicious foods for sale,” said Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler. “Mix in the great country music, and it’s going to be a real celebration of our agricultural heritage.”
